We are honoured that our keynote speaker this year is Emeritus Professor Gillian Triggs, the former President of the Australian Human Rights Commission, and the new Chair of Justice Connect. She is also Vice Chancellor’s Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Tribunal.
Our annual dinner is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s outstanding achievements and to focus on future challenges. It’s also a key fundraiser to help us continue to defend the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants for another 30 years.

Professor Hilary Charlesworth
Hilary Charlesworth is a Melbourne Laureate Professor at Melbourne Law School. She is also a Distinguished Professor at the Australian National University. Her research includes the structure of the international legal system, peacebuilding, human rights law and international humanitarian law and international legal theory, particularly feminist approaches to international law.
