Refugee Legal Annual Dinner

I’d be delighted if you could join us for Refugee Legal’s Annual Dinner to be held on Wednesday 27 November 2024.

We are honored to have Zaki Haidari as our Keynote Speaker this year. Zaki is a 2020 Australian Human Rights Commission Human Rights Hero and a Strategic Campaigner at Amnesty International Australia. In 2015, Zaki was awarded the NSW Government’s International Student of the Year Award. Zaki arrived in Australia in 2012 as a refugee from Afghanistan, after fleeing the Taliban as a minor. He is a highly respected media commentator and human rights advocate, courageously sharing his story to shine a light on the harsh realities faced by refugees, especially those subjected to Australia’s temporary protection policies.

Our annual dinner is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s outstanding achievements and to focus on future challenges. It’s also a key fundraiser to support our vital work defending the rights and dignity of asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants.
