New match challenge – courtesy of Peter McMullin AM and the Good Business Foundation

Monday, June 17 2024

We’re delighted to announce our pro bono law firm partners match challenge of $75,000 has been reached – and we’re very pleased to announce a new match challenge of $50,000, courtesy of Peter McMullin AM and the Good Business Foundation. This means your tax-deductible donation will continue to be matched dollar for dollar until 30 June – and your impact doubled.

We are enormously grateful to Peter and the Good Business Foundation for this added encouragement to be generous, and help us fight for real change at this critical juncture in history.

We simply could not continue to do the work we do without the partnerships and collaboration of our pro bono law firm partners – and other long-standing supporters like Peter McMullin AM and the Good Business Foundation. Ultimately, so much of our work is powered by these partnerships – and the will of the community for justice and freedom.

Let’s, together, do all that we can to seize the opportunity for real change.

Real change demands a big reform agenda and swift action. The reforms must start here:

  • Abolish indefinite detention
  • Establish a reassessment process for people refused temporary protection
  • Increase the Refugee and Humanitarian intake significantly
  • Resolve the situation of all people held in PNG and Nauru, and those brought back, offering enduring protection
  • Expand options for family reunion

Once again, thank you to our pro bono law firm partners and to the many of you who have already donated to our End of Financial Year Appeal, helping us meet our pro bono law firm partners’ generous $75,000 match challenge.

If you haven’t already, please consider giving to our Refugee Legal End of Financial Year Appeal.

If you have already given – our sincerest thanks.

Sincerely and with thanks,

David Manne
